Some cleaners use a VLM (very low moisture) process that utilizes chemicals sprayed on your carpet which are used to brush the surface of the carpet. They may remove some or most of the appearance of stains from the surface of your carpet but the chemicals are not removed using water. Cleaning services of this type are often the most economical but would you ever scrub your clothes with detergent and then put them back in the closet without using water in the process to clean and rinse the soap out?
Others in the industry use hot water extraction which is the most common and professionally recommended method in the industry. When using the right chemicals this method alone can do a fair job of cleaning your carpets and won’t leave the chemicals behind if done correctly.
Our Process
At Kirlin’s Kleaners, our unique gunk removal process utilizes a 4+ step approach to remove the most dirt, hair, skin, pet dander, feces, pesticides, herbicides, mold, fungus, pollen, etc. (we collectively refer to as GUNK) that is hidden deep down in your carpet and very often can’t even be seen. Not only does our process remove the most GUNK, but it also kills bacteria, viruses and parasites that may not even know are present including salmonella, e-coli, norovirus, dust mites and many other unwelcome guests.
Our process for pet owners begins with a pet treatment containing special enzymes which break down bodily fluids from pets (or their human owners for that matter). We then follow with our standard pre-spray which can be specially formulated to match the level of soiling in your carpets. Next we utilize our special Gunk Removal Machine which agitates the carpet and brushes the cleaning agents deep down into all layers of the carpet, not just the surface. Our agitation process along removes more stains and hidden materials from deep in the carpet than our customers and even sometimes we can believe ourselves! Next, we utilize a hot water extraction process that uses water heated to a minimum of 170 degrees and often over 200 degrees to wash and rinse the carpet to remove additional stains and the smaller aforementioned items that can only be killed and extracted with high temperature heat and pulled out using high vacuum power provided by our state of the art truck-mounted equipment (more power than any portable unit can provide).
The entire process we utilize is far more work than the average cleaning company cares to invest but we bring an old-fashioned work ethic to our family run business and believe that anything worth doing is worth doing right!! This is especially the case when it comes to cleaning the carpets that our families and pets walk, crawl, roll and lay on!
